McLaren CEO Zak Brown has revealed the changes Lando Norris made ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, which saw the Briton secure a famous victory in the Circuit de Monaco.
Norris mastered Monaco to claim a crucial victory, just his second of the year following on from the Australia season-opener.
The McLaren driver started on pole after setting a new lap record, before controlling the entirety of the 78-lap race.
Qualifying on pole was a significant moment for Norris, with Brown recognising that mistakes have been made in qualifying this season.
"He's obviously had a few Q3 struggles, and to get it done in Q3 at Monte Carlo is awesome," Brown told Sky F1.
"So I think he's just very focused. He knows he's got a great chance at the championship, and maybe he just lets me do the exciting part."
Personal changes were needed by Norris ahead of Monaco, following a run of disappointing qualifying performances in particular.
He had been very self-critical of himself as recently as after qualifying in Imola; however, came across as a very different character after securing Monaco pole.
When asked what Norris changed about himself ahead of Monaco, Brown replied: "Just focus and kind of not worry about if you don't get in the perfect lap, do the best you can and give it another go.
"And so that's exactly what happened, right? We went out and we got two laps in with both our guys. And first one was really good, but wasn't good enough. And the second time he got it done."
