Yuki Tsunoda was issued a 10-second time penalty during the British Grand Prix after colliding with Haas' Oliver Bearman.
The incident occurred at a safety car restart on lap 22 of the race as they battled through Turn 6.
Tsunoda was on the inside of the corner but the duo made contact, sending Bearman into a spin.
It has added to Tsunoda's wretched run of form, as the Japanese driver now appears likely to endure his fifth point-less race.
The F1 stewards have not yet indicated if Tsunoda will be issued penalty points on his super licence.
