Yuki Tsunoda is eagerly anticipating a trip to Red Bull's headquarters following the Spanish Grand Prix in a bid to make pace improvements.
The Japanese driver endured a difficult weekend and qualified at the back of the grid on Saturday after ending the Q1 segment as the slowest driver.
Tweaks to the car before the race relegated him to the pit lane, where he progressed to 13th place.
However, it marked back-to-back point-less grand prix events for Red Bull.
As Tsunoda continues to struggle to extract pace from the car, he will return to Milton Keynes ahead of the Canadian round to work closely with his engineers.
“There’s something that we’ve got to try,” Tsunoda told media including RacingNews365. “I'm quite excited for it.
“That will hopefully make something different. And I mean, it can’t get worse than this weekend, to be honest.”
The work will include jumping into the simulator - however Tsunoda suggested that element would benefit the engineers rather than himself.
“The simulator itself, in my perspective, it’s more towards the team to something that we want to try at the track,” Tsunoda added.
“It’s such a limited time anyway. We can’t try every setup with the things that we want to explore around.
“Maybe my engineer can find a good trend or good characteristic in my driving style or whatever. Other than that, my perspective, it's more towards the team and engineering learning.”
