Toto Wolff has asserted he will attempt to maintain a strong personal relationship with Lewis Hamilton despite his exit from Mercedes.
Hamilton will switch to Ferrari for the 2025 season, bringing an end to his long-standing and highly successful partnership with the Mercedes squad.
Wolff has been at the forefront of Hamilton's successful years at Mercedes, with the Briton winning 84 races and six championships as a driver for the Silver Arrows.
However, the 39-year-old will suit up in red next year as he embarks on a new chapter with Ferrari.
As they switch to rivals in the F1 world, Wolff declared he hopes their personal relationship will remain unchanged.
“We said we are going to work hard on maintaining the relationship,” he said.
“It is going to be fierce competition on the track but if individuals want a relationship to continue beyond competition, we will do so.
“We will still be doing our sports sessions where we are both competitive, and try to beat each other.
“Or [we will] ride a motorbike. [We will] have dinner together and all of those things."
