F1's Sprint format makes its first appearance of 2022 at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, with the drivers lining up for a 100-kilometre race to set the grid for Sunday's main event.
Compared to 2021, the Sprint race will count for more points than before. The top eight drivers will score points, with the winner getting eight points, second place getting second, and each subsequent finisher being awarded a point less.
Saturday's Sprint at Imola begins at 16:30 local time (15:30 for UK viewers), running for approximately half an hour over 21 laps.
