WATCH: Ocon and Gasly's NASCAR runout with Cup Series champion

Alpine are already in the United States ahead of Miami with Esteban Ocon getting to grips with NASCAR machinery.

What's the best thing you can do after a disappointing Formula 1 weekend? Get straight back into the swing of things. After their dismal weekend in Azerbaijan involving fires, crashes and two pit-lane starts, Alpine are hopeful of a better return this weekend with the Miami Grand Prix. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly have already made it across from Baku to the United States - and have made a stop off in North Carolina and Charlotte Motor Speedway. The state and city is the hub of NASCAR - and thanks to a mutual sponsor, Ocon and Gasly teamed up with Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing - owned by 2012 Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski. At the home of the Coke 600 - the longest race in NASCAR - Ocon got to grips the the Ford Mustang that Keselowski and teammate Chris Buescher race. The RFK drivers had a better time of things at the weekend as NASCAR raced in Delaware and the Dover 'Monster Mile.' The race was delayed until Monday due to rain - with Keselowski eighth and Buescher ninth as Martin Truex Jr secured a first win of the season.

No DRS needed. 🔥 @OconEsteban is quickly becoming accustomed to the Next Gen car while @PierreGASLY , @Chris_Buescher & @keselowski look on. @AlpineF1Team | @Castrol pic.twitter.com/Nahg71zYfV — RFK Racing (@RFKracing) May 2, 2023

You can’t get American NASCAR drivers and French F1 drivers together without referencing the “I love crepes” scene from Talladega Nights, which is exactly what @keselowski is doing 😂 @AlpineF1Team | @Castrol pic.twitter.com/NcFRGmvXOa — RFK Racing (@RFKracing) May 2, 2023
