In an unusual incident at the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix, Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas was forced to retire from the race after a wheel nut got jammed into his front-right wheel. Given that the drivers must use two sets of tyres during the Grand Prix, the Finn was forced to retire from the race, with the team failing to resolve the issue at the venue. However, now that Bottas' W12 has returned to the team's Brackley factory efforts are underway to remove the tyre in what is surely one of Formula 1's strangest stories! The video can be viewed below
