The NASCAR Cup Series played host to more drama on the weekend.
Sunday's race at the Texas Motor Speedway, the first of the eight-round play-offs, was interrupted when Bubba Wallace spun on Lap 31 of 105 and sparked carnage, as 14 other cars got caught up in the incident on the back straight.
It marked the biggest NASCAR Cup Series crash in the Texas venue's history, in terms of how many cars were involved.
