Video: Di Grassi heavily crashes out of Rome E-Prix

The Brazilian driver can't seem to catch a break at the moment. After losing a possible race win on Saturday, Sunday's E-Prix ended with a heavy shunt following contact with Sebastien Buemi.

Lucas di Grassi suffered Formula E heartache once again on Sunday afternoon, after a late crash with Sebastien Buemi left the Brazilian unable to continue. The Audi driver was fighting for a decent haul of points at the time of contact, but a late defensive move to try and block the surging Buemi of Nissan DAMS had dire consequences for di Grassi. He subsequently smashed into the wall and was forced to retire from the race. This incident comes just a day after crashing out of race 1 of the Rome E-Prix, at a time when he was leading the field. The 36-year-old may jointly hold the record for the most race wins in Formula E history, but he is now without a win since early 2019. A video of the incident between di Grassi and Buemi can be found below.
