Verstappen slams Latifi: There's a reason he's in a Williams

Max Verstappen wasn't happy with Nicholas Latifi's driving during practice on Friday at the Red Bull Ring.

Max Verstappen has lashed out at Nicholas Latifi, after the championship leader felt he'd been held up badly by the Williams driver during practice. Verstappen was forced to back off on a flying lap, after catching Latifi on the racing line during the second sector of the lap. "Sometimes I really don't know what's going on in other people's heads," a frustrated Verstappen told Ziggo Sport after the session. "At least, they're not paying attention." Verstappen was asked whether his own race engineer gets on the radio frequently to help the Dutch driver stay aware of fast cars coming up from behind on flying laps. He explained that he does get some information from his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, but that quite a bit still lands on the driver's shoulders. "Of course the engineer has to pay attention but it is, of course, not without reason that one driver drives a Williams and the other driver a Red Bull."
