Red Bull suffered a double Q2 elimination in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix as Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez's horror weekend continues. After struggling for balance throughout practice, the RB19 was on the back foot heading into the second Q2 runs, with both drivers in danger of dropping out early. Perez spun at Turn 2 on his final lap putting him out as he was already in the drop zone, while Verstappen's final lap was only good enough for 10th place. Pierre Gasly failed to beat that in the Alpine, but Liam Lawson - the Red Bull junior - did in the AlphaTauri to secure a first Q3 appearance of his career. To make matters worse, Verstappen is facing two investigations by stewards for impeding both Mercedes drivers in Q1 and Yuki Tsunoda in Q2.
