Max Verstappen has claimed he has "no clue" over how Red Bull will fare in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, despite earning a 12th pole position of the year. The World Champion struggled throughout practice at Yas Marina and but was able to set pole on his first lap in Q3 following a late set-up change by Red Bull before the session started. He will line-up alongside Charles Leclerc on the front-row for the second straight race, with the Dutchman looking for a 19th win from 22 races in the season, and fourth straight from pole in Abu Dhabi.
Verstappen: I have no clue!
"I have no clue how good we are going to be in the race," Verstappen explained. "Normally we are always quite decent, but around here, with the tyres, you can have little slides and it can cost you a lot of lap-time. "That is what was happening for us in practice, but then in qualifying, it was just a bit more connected. "The whole weekend has been a struggle, so we definitely improved the car for qualifying, it all seemed a bit more together and we could definitely push more."
