Verstappen encounters bizarre towel trouble after McLaren near-miss

Lando Norris topped the timesheets on the opening day of the Hungarian Grand Prix, although experienced a near-miss with Oscar Piastri in the closing seconds of second practice. McLaren is the team to beat at the Hungaroring, whilst Red Bull are the 'big four' outfit with the most work ahead of them. Max Verstappen was 14th and behind Yuki Tsunoda on Friday, and had a bizarre incident with a small towel during FP2. Charles Leclerc was the closest challenger to McLaren in third, but still found himself several tenths adrift. Aston Martin also had a wild day, with an injury having ruled Fernando Alonso out of FP1. Join RacingNews365's Ian Parkes and Nick Golding, as they dissect the opening day in Hungary.
