Max Verstappen enjoyed a highly dominant Formula 1 campaign this year as he cruised to his third title unchallenged.

The Dutchman set many new records throughout the year including most wins in a season and the highest win percentage in F1 history.

He finished a mammoth 290 points ahead of his nearest rival, which in 2023 was Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez.

Perez won two out of the opening four races of the campaign but was unable to challenge Verstappen, who prevailed at every race from round five onward - bar Singapore, which stands as the only event this year that saw Red Bull was defeated.

Verstappen is now closing in on another record, held by Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.

From the 2018 British Grand Prix to the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix (48 races) Hamilton ended every event inside the points.

His streak only ended when he was ruled out of the next round due to testing positive for Covid-19.

It marks the longest run of consecutive point finishes in F1 history but Verstappen is chasing the record and has a chance to make it his own accolade in 2024.

Verstappen's current run of point-scoring finishes began at the 2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, 41 races ago.

The 26-year-old has finished inside the top 10 at every race since, with only four of the 41 instances being outside the podium.
