Cadillac F1 has shared a video of Valtteri Bottas and the cockpit of his new F1 car ahead of the American squad joining the grid for the 2026 season.
The Finnish driver will team up with Sergio Perez to form the General Motors-backed operation's first driver line-up, after spending the campaign just finished as reserve driver at Mercedes.
Over the summer, the 10-time grand prix winner published a light-hearted video of him complimenting the "seat" of a Cadillac SUV, in a joke that went viral ahead of his eventual confirmation as a driver for its F1 team.
This latest video from the 36-year-old, who has grown to be a popular, cult hero-like figure in the F1 paddock due to his fun-loving and relaxed nature, plays on that original video, but is set within the Cadillac factory.
Interestingly, the former Williams, Mercedes, Alfa Romeo/Stake driver will have to serve a five-place grid penalty on his debut for F1's newest team, as he was awarded the punishment in the last grand prix he contested, in Abu Dhabi at the end of the 2024 season.
Therefore, wherever he is able to qualify in the campaign-opening Australian Grand Prix will already not be his starting spot — unless he is P22 and slowest in that grid-setting session.
