It was exactly 17 years ago today that MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi got behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car. He made an impression, which fuelled rumours of a switch to the series. However he isn't the only car and motorsport here to get a taste of F1.
Valentino Rossi is no stranger to Formula 1, with his most recent adventure in the sport seeing him drive the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. It isn't the first time a star name has made an appearance in F1. While they are usually a PR stunt, sometimes the appearance leads to rumours and serious discussions.
