Two Formula 1 drivers will be required to start the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix from the pit lane after changing parts after qualifying in Montreal.

Both Stake F1 drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu have been pulled from their original starting positions and will take to the pit lane for the commencement of the event.

Bottas ended the qualifying in 17th while Zhou was 19th - however Zhou was due to start one position higher due to a grid penalty for Esteban Ocon.

The rear wings of both cars have been changed to a different configuration that was used during qualifying.

As a result of breaching parc fermé conditions, they have been ordered to shift to the pit lane.

In addition to a rear wing change, Bottas has had a third energy store and control electronics unit fitted to his car.

The changes mean that Nico Hulkenberg and Ocon move to to 17th and 18th on the starting grid respectively.
