Yuki Tsunoda has given a cryptic response when asked when an announcement on his AlphaTauri future could be expected.

AlphaTauri has three potential driver options for 2024, with Tsunoda, Daniel Ricciardo and Liam Lawson the trio vying for the two seats.

Driver announcements are often made ahead of a driver's home Grand Prix, but there has been no official communication from Red Bull or AlphaTauri ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.

There have been reports that Tsunoda could be the driver to miss out with Ricciardo and Lawson forming the partnership, but the third-year driver was coy about his future.

Tsunoda's hint

"We'll see soon, you'll know soon," Tsunoda told media including RacingNews365 when asked about when an announcement on his future could be expected.

"[Both Honda and Red Bull have supported me], Honda has supported me from 16 years old, and it actually started at this track, so without them, obviously I am not here, but it is the same without Red Bull - I am not here either.

"They both combine very well as a junior category, and helped me in both ways and it is a balanced actually really well."
