Yuki Tsunoda has praised his relationship with Daniel Ricciardo and claims he is 'learning a lot' already after two races. Ricciardo was drafted in to replace Nyck de Vries after a spate of poor results with the team, with the Australian completing two outings prior to the summer break. He praised the "familiar feeling" that the AT04 has given him behind the wheel, after initially expecting the car's "limitations" to affect his ability to extract better results. Tsunoda has been impressed when asked about how things are going by media, including RacingNews365 : "I think it's good. Learning lots of things from him already."
Feedback going in similar direction
Tsunoda also noted that him and Ricciardo are on the same page in terms of feedback, which should help AlphaTauri cause when it comes to developing the car towards the end of the season. "I think it's similar. In the end what I'm saying and what Daniel is saying is quite similar," said Tsunoda. "Obviously we just had one race and Hungary is a little bit different so it’s difficult to say. But so far it’s not much difference." AlphaTauri still sit last in the Constructors' Championship with just three points, all of which were scored by Tsunoda in the first 12 races.
