Toto Wolff has made clear that Mercedes' championship ambitions do not end with Kimi Antonelli's drivers' title, insisting there is still "a job left to finish" as the team turns its attention to the constructors' battle at Interlagos this weekend.
Antonelli sealed his maiden world championship in Mexico City on Sunday, finishing third behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton to confirm the title with four races to spare, becoming the youngest world champion in F1 history.
Heading into the São Paulo Grand Prix on Sunday, Mercedes holds a 126-point lead over Ferrari in the constructors' standings.
The Brackley-based squad will clinch the teams' title if it outscores Ferrari by at least three points across the weekend, while Ferrari needs a four-point swing in its favour to keep the fight alive heading to Las Vegas.
Ferrari has outscored Mercedes over the last four race weekends, despite the opening-lap clash between Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in Mexico City.
Initially reflecting on the significance of Antonelli's triumph and Russell's season, team principal Wolff said: "Mexico was a special weekend for Kimi and the team.
"Winning the world championship is an incredible achievement, particularly at this stage of his career, and he thoroughly deserves the moment.
"For George, there is natural disappointment. He has been hard on himself, but he has driven at an incredibly high level this season and shown again the quality we know he has.
"There have been circumstances out of his control that haven't always fallen his way, and we have not always given him the car to perform.
"Nevertheless, the way he has continued to push and contribute to the team says so much about him."

Wolff - 'Nothing is won yet'
Wolff then shifted the spotlight to the task still at hand in Brazil.
"Our focus, though, has already moved to São Paulo," he added. "We came into this season wanting to fight for both championships, and there is still a job left to finish.
"The teams' title is about the performance of the entire operation, both at the track and back in Brackley and Brixworth, and securing it would mean a great deal to all of us.
"Nothing is won yet, though. Interlagos is always a demanding weekend, and there is little margin for error.
"We need to execute strongly from the first session and put ourselves in the best possible position to bring home both titles this season."
