Ferrari learn stewards verdict after Lewis Hamilton Japan incident

Ferrari and Aston Martin have both been handed warnings by Japanese Grand Prix stewards following incidents involving Lewis Hamilton and Lance Stroll .  Following the conclusion of the second practice session, both teams were summoned to the stewards over an alleged failure to adhere to race director Rui Marques's pre-race instructions regarding the use of the pit lane. Mercedes punished after Antonelli Japanese GP first practice error

Mercedes has been fined following first practice ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, following a small error by Kimi Antonelli .  The team's Italian teenage sensation was caught speeding in the pit lane during the opening session of the event at Suzuka, resulting in a small €100 fine. 2025 F1 Japanese Grand Prix - Free Practice 2 results

Oscar Piastri topped the second free practice session for the Japanese Grand Prix, going half-a-tenth of a second faster than McLaren team-mate Lando Norris in a heavily-disrupted second place. Racing Bulls driver Isack Hadjar and Lewis Hamilton were third and fourth-quickest, respectively, with Liam Lawson rounding out the top five at Suzuka. Yuki Tsunoda has declared his real-life experience of Red Bull 's problematic RB21 to be "more tricky" compared to his feelings from the simulator sessions. On his debut for the team, Tsunoda delivered a credible performance in the first practice session for the Japanese Grand Prix, finishing a tenth slower than four-time F1 champion team-mate Max Verstappen , the position Red Bull wants its second driver. Liam Lawson hit with startling 'never in 100 years' Yuki Tsunoda comparison

Former AlphaTauri team principal Franz Tost has offered staggering comparison between Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson after the former replaced the latter at Red Bull . Though the team is now know as Racing Bulls, Tost oversaw both drivers during his time at the Faenza-based team, which came to an end following the 2023 F1 season.
