Yuki Tsunoda has been confirmed as an RB driver for 2025, with the outfit having activated an agreement in the Japanese driver's contract.
RB had an option to extend Tsunoda's deal to the end of next year, keeping the improving driver at Faenza for a fifth season.
The announcement was made 30 minutes before qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix, which Tsunoda secured eighth on the grid in.
However, Daniel Ricciardo salvaged fifth on the grid at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. With Tsunoda having been confirmed for 2025, RB has a big decision to make.
Do they extend Ricciardo's contract for next season or do they replace the Australian with reserve driver Liam Lawson?
