Sainz crash triggers Chinese GP qualifying red flag

Carlos Sainz has caused a red flag in Q2 in qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix.

Carlos Sainz has triggered a red flag in Q2 of qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix. The Spanish driver dropped a tyre into the gravel at the exit on the final corner, sliding across the track before ending up facing backwards on the other side of the track after hitting a barrier. He was able to get going again sans his front wing, and returned to the pits for repairs, with 6:44 remaining on the clock. It came after Lewis Hamilton was eliminated in Q1, qualifying in 18th place.
