Daniel Ricciardo has said that "everything is firing on the right cylinders" as he got his first chance to check out the MCL35M 2021 car during a damp testing session at Silverstone this week. The McLaren driver, who joined the British team from Renault at the end of last season, said that while it had taken a while to blow off some cobwebs after two months out of the car, the team was in a good place going into the start of the season. “I think McLaren started on the right foot with a fire up that was a day early and the first day of running on track everything has been smooth, you can’t ask for too much more at this part of the season,” he said. “So everything is firing on the right cylinders now, so to speak. We’re all good.”
