Red flag after chaotic start sees Bottas tag both Red Bull cars

The wet conditions at the Hungaroring made for a chaotic start as Valtteri Bottas struggled to slow his car down into Turn 1. The Finn is out along with a few others, while Max Verstappen finds himself down the grid after being hit.

There were no shortage of incidents on the opening lap of the Hungarian GP, with the red flag eventually coming out on the third lap. As things stand Lewis Hamilton leads from Esteban Ocon and Sebastian Vettel after a chaotic run down to Turn 1. Rainy conditions made things tricky and Valtteri Bottas got caught out right away, getting late on the breaks and hitting Lando Norris from behind. That resulted in Norris tagging Verstappen, while the Finn also hit the other Red Bull car of Sergio Perez. As a result Bottas and Perez are out, while Charles Leclerc and Lance Stroll have also retired after a separate incident saw the Aston Martin driver crash into the Ferrari that also saw Daniel Ricciardo involved. While Hamilton avoided the chaos, the same can't be said for his championship rival Verstappen as the Dutchman finds himself down in 13th.
