Red Bull slapped with fine after Perez British GP rules breach

The Mexican driver finished Friday practice fourth on the times as Max Verstappen topped both sessions.

Red Bull have been fined €100 after Sergio Perez sped in the Formula 1 pit-lane at the British Grand Prix. At 16:29 during the second practice session, Perez was clocked at 80.9kph (50.2mph) when the limit in force at Silverstone is 80kph (50mph). This was a breach of Article 34.7 of the Sporting Regulations, with Red Bull picking up the fine. Earlier in the day, Mercedes were reprimanded following Lewis Hamilton's late arrival for the Thursday press conference. Perez finished the two practice sessions in second and fourth as teammate Max Verstappen topped both as he searches for a sixth straight win.
