Red Bull posed worrying Max Verstappen question

Former Lotus and McLaren boss Eric Boullier spoke exclusively to RacingNews365!

Red Bull has been warned about the potential consequences of what will happen should Max Verstappen be forced to miss grands prix.  The world champion has shattered a number of F1 records in recent seasons and is gunning for a fifth straight drivers' title, something only achieved by Michael Schumacher.  However, during his time at Red Bull, Verstappen has developed into something of a 'team-mate killer' with Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon, Sergio Perez, and Liam Lawson all either leaving or being discarded by the team for not being able to match Verstappen.  Incumbent Yuki Tsunoda is also puzzled by his struggles to adapt to the RB21 car, with the Japanese racer scoring seven points since joining ahead of the Japanese GP, in which time Verstappen has scored 101, including two wins. It means Red Bull, with an already tricky car, is effectively a one-car team, a situation which former Lotus and McLaren boss Eric Boullier noted when speaking to RacingNews365. "Max is special, and is on his way to being the new GOAT, as you say, he is on top of it, and it is funny because you like him or you don't," Boullier exclusively told RacingNews365.  "Obviously, he is quite rough and tough when he is in the car, but this is what he has to be, and it is a privilege to know him personally. He is actually a very nice person, but he is a fierce competitor.  "What he can do with the car is amazing, because he can extract from his car, his team-mates cannot, and whoever you put with him as a team-mate, you say: 'Oh, he's at the back', so he is clearly holding the team.  "But it is quite a dangerous position as well, and I don't wish to see anything bad, but if one of the McLaren drivers were ill, the other one could step up tomorrow.  "If Max is ill, what is going to happen to Red Bull?"
