With a new F1 season fast approaching, the teams are busy doing promotional content to get ready for the new campaign.
This includes Red Bull, who earlier this week launched its new livery for the 2026 season.
The Milton Keynes-based squad also released a promotional video featuring its new teamwear for the year ahead, featuring familiar faces such as Max Verstappen, Isack Hadjar, Gianpiero Lambiase and Laurent Mekies, who could be seen wearing the team's new black-and-blue outfits.
A number of different photos also came along at a rapid pace, from flashbacks to wins by Verstappen, to renders of the look of the new RB22. It was soon noticed that there was one glaring error to be found in those images.
The number on Verstappen's RB22 car was not the '3' he will be driving next season, but the '1' he has been driving in recent seasons as the reigning world champion.
However, Verstappen is no longer eligible to use the number after Lando Norris won the championship in 2025, with the Briton adopting the number for the upcoming season.
How this footage ended up in the video is unclear. In the longer version of the video on YouTube, these images have been replaced by other images of the RB22, now with the number '3'.
Was it a tease toward McLaren and Lando Norris? Or a genuine mistake by the team? Either way, the brief moment in the video drew some attention on social media!
