Red Bull and Ferrari have both suffered dramatic point slumps in the opening five races of the 2025 F1 season, compared to 12 months ago.

This time last year, Red Bull led the constructors' title on 195 points, ahead of Ferrari in second on 151.

Both teams are yet to break the 100-point mark this season, with Red Bull having suffered a 54.36% decrease in its points tally after five rounds.

Ferrari's deficit is only marginally better, having scored 48.34% less points than this time last year.

For McLaren and Mercedes, it is the complete opposite, courtesy of a strong start to the campaign for both outfits.

McLaren lead the standings on 188 points, representing a 95.83% increase from the Woking-based team's total points scored after five rounds last year.

Mercedes currently sit second on the championship on a respectable 111, a remarkable increase of 113.46% compared to this time in 2024.

In terms of the biggest points gain from the first five grands prix last year compared to this year, that honour goes to Williams, Alpine and Stake.

All three teams failed to score a point in the opening five events last season, but have all registered top 10 finishes already in 2025 – this represents an infinity percentage increase.

In terms of the biggest percentage decrease, that is claimed by Aston Martin. The British team has scored 75% fewer points than it had this time last year, all courtesy of Lance Stroll.
