Porsche has revealed its new car and livery for the upcoming Formula E season, whilst reigning world champion Pascal Wehrlein has confirmed his race number for his title defence.
The German manufacturer has won the past two drivers' titles, with customer team driver Jake Dennis having claimed the crown for Andretti in Season 9, before Wehrlein won the championship last season.
Like Dennis, Wehrlein has confirmed he will run the iconic #1 for his title defence, which will feature on the nose of the team's new Porsche 99X Electric.
Porsche has been a title contender ever since the Gen3 era was introduced, encouraging Wehrlein that he can become just the second driver to defend his crown – Jean-Eric Vergne successfully defended his Season 4 title.
“The new Porsche 99X Electric is a very cool car," said Wehrlein. "I love the colours so much that I designed my helmet the same way.
"It also goes without saying that I am proud to now have number 1 on the nose of my car. I want to defend my title and the preparations for the new season are going according to plan."
Alongside Wehrlein at Porsche for FE Season 11 is Antonio Felix da Costa, in what is the pair's third campaign as team mates.
Da Costa looked set for the Porsche exit door mid-season, only to go on a staggering run of four wins across five races.
With Porsche's new package, the Season 6 champion is hopeful of a strong season, which gets underway on December 7 in São Paulo, Brazil.
“We are excited to see where we are at," said da Costa. "The all-wheel drive, the new tyres, and the comprehensive overhaul of our own components may shake things up a bit, even though there aren’t any major changes to the regulations.
"I’m optimistic and am pleased that we will be lining up in São Paulo again at the beginning of December. Hopefully the fans will love our new colours."
