Photos: F1 teams and drivers get ready for action in Australia

Formula 1 is back in Melbourne for the first edition of the Australian Grand Prix in three years, with anticipation building for the event.

After a break from the calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Australia and the Albert Park Circuit make a welcome return this weekend. F1 teams and drivers will face a new challenge this time out, with Melbourne's popular street track undergoing a host of changes in recent months – including a complete resurfacing, the widening of several corners and the removal of the Turn 9-10 chicane for a new 'straight' (leading to the addition of a fourth DRS zone). Ahead of Friday's free practice sessions getting underway, teams have taken to social media to share their excitement for the action ahead.
