Perez misery continues with another qualifying failure

The Red Bull driver has failed to get into the final part of qualifying for the fourth successive time.

Sergio Perez has failed to make it into the top ten shootout during qualifying for the fourth successive time. In a dramatic Q2 drivers were getting lap times deleted for exceeding track limits, primarily at the final corner (Turn 10) where they typically run wide on the exit onto the start/finish straight. The Mexican fell foul of the rules and had his quickest lap time wiped off the timing board with seconds to spare. He exclaimed over team radio: "What a f***ing joke with the track limits." As a result he will start from P15 on the grid for the Grand Prix on Sunday, meaning he will be on yet another recovery drive through the field as he looks to limit the points deficit to team mate and championship rival Max Verstappen.
