Sergio Perez has suffered his latest qualifying disappointment, after being eliminated in the second part of sprint qualifying at the United States Grand Prix.
The Mexican driver set his final lap time much earlier than everyone else, with it having only been good enough provisionally for P10.
His time was beaten by RB's Yuki Tsunoda, leaving Perez to start the sprint race at the Circuit of the Americas from 11th.
Carlos Sainz topped the second part of sprint qualifying, whilst Perez was not the first big name to be knocked out.
Oscar Piastri will start from P16 after being eliminated in the first part of sprint qualifying, after losing his best lap due to exceeding track limits at the penultimate corner.
