Oscar Piastri has conceded he alone was to blame for his crash during qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The championship leader made a rare error during Q3 as he went deep into Turn 3 and collided with the barrier, inflicting significant damage to his car.

Ferrari set for internal review after Lewis Hamilton left 'in shock' by 'execution' failure

Lewis Hamilton conceded his miserable Azerbaijan Grand Prix qualifying came as "a bit of a shock", although highlighted a failure with Ferrari's "execution" of its tyre strategy as the main factor behind his poor result.

Hamilton was on a high following Friday practice after topping a session for the first time this year, expressing confidence with his car he had previously not felt this season.

Esteban Ocon disqualified from Baku qualifying after illegal discovery

Esteban Ocon has been disqualified from qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, following a technical breach.

After qualifying 18th, Ocon's car was undergoing the routine parc ferme tests by the FIA technical team, but it was found that his rear-wing main plane had deflected more than the 0.5mm allowed under Article 3.15.17 of the technical regulations.
