Oscar Piastri insists he will learn from his first defeat to Max Verstappen in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. 

Verstappen pulled off a stunning overtake on Piastri at Turn 1 to steal the lead, in a role reversal of the Saudi Arabian GP when Piastri muscled past Verstappen and went on to win after a penalty for the Dutchman.

Charles Leclerc agrees with Max Verstappen over fresh F1 concern

Charles Leclerc has concurred with Max Verstappen that F1 racing feels less natural following the introduction of fresh guidelines.

Revised racing rules for the new season give priority to the driver on the inside line, outlining the front axle must be alongside the mirror of their rival prior to and at the apex of a corner, which eliminates the need to give the other car room on the exit.

Max Verstappen struck back at McLaren at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix as the Dutchman took an impressive victory, leading Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri home at the chequered flag.

Overtaking around the Imola circuit has traditionally been a difficult task for the drivers, who also knew the 2025 edition would be no different.

Lewis Hamilton names key Ferrari improvement which unlocked 'China form'

Lewis Hamilton felt a series of Ferrari improvements allowed him to unlock his comfort with the car not seen since China in the Emilia Romagna GP. 

Starting 12th at Imola, Hamilton ran long on the hard tyres at the start, was able to change tyres to the mediums under the Esteban Ocon virtual safety car.

Max Verstappen explains key factor behind stunning Imola overtake

Max Verstappen has explained how he first realised his stunning overtake on Oscar Piastri was a possibility at Imola.

From second on the grid, Verstappen was actually third on the run to Turn 1 after George Russell passed the Red Bull, but taking the outside line allowed the Red Bull a free run around the outside of the first braking zone.

Christian Horner highlights McLaren 'conflict' after 'world of pain'

Christian Horner has pointed out how McLaren subjected Oscar Piastri to a "world of pain" during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

However, the Red Bull team principal also had some words of praise for the Woking-based team, remarking how "commendable" it was to let Lando Norris race the Australian driver, despite the dangers facing the team.
