Oscar Piastri has asserted he will not change his approach to racing after clashing with Lando Norris at the Canadian Grand Prix.
The McLaren team-mates collided while battling for fourth place in Montreal, resulting in Norris' retirement from the race.
The Briton immediately accepted responsibility for the collision, an effort praised by team principal Andrea Stella.
As the two continue to race toward their maiden F1 title, Piastri asserted his approach will not alter.
“No, I don't think it will change anything,” he told RacingNews365. “For me, I certainly won't do anything different.
“I won't behave any differently. If Lando is going to do anything different, that's for him to answer.
“I don't expect anything to change. We've still got a long season ahead of us, so I think it's going to be a tight battle for the rest of the year.”
Piastri has denied that McLaren has implemented orders to stop them racing one another following the crash.
“No, [it's the] same as always," he insisted. "Obviously what happened in Canada wasn't ideal, but we're still free to race.
"We're still fighting for a championship each. So we'll keep going racing and make sure that we don't come into contact again.”
