Oliver Bearman is set to start the Dutch Grand Prix from the Zandvoort pit-lane following a rare Haas F1 rules breach.
Bearman had qualified 19th and slowest of all the drivers to set a lap-time after Lance Stroll crashed, but hours after qualifying, FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer informed the stewards of a breach of the sporting regulations.
Namely, Haas was found to have breached Article 40.6 of the sporting regulations in not covering Bearman's car within the mandated two hours, so FIA parc ferme seals can applied.
As such, the wording of the rule also states that any driver guilty of a breach of Article 40.6 will also be found to have breached Article 40.9.
This regulation covers regular parc fermentation checks and clearly states that any driver found to have breached the rule "must start the race from the pit-lane."
