Lando Norris insists he and McLaren want to win the F1 constructors' championship "in style" at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The British driver led team-mate Oscar Piastri to a one-two in the grid-setting session at the Yas Marina Circuit, with title rivals Ferrari only qualifying third and P14.

To make matters worse for the Italian team, Charles Leclerc has a 10-place grid penalty, so will start at the back, leaving Carlos Sainz to fight the papaya cars solo.

Despite the considerable advantage handed to McLaren, in addition to the 21-point lead it already holds, Norris is nevertheless vowing that the Woking squads will keep "heads down" until the job is done.

"We've gotta beat Ferrari, that's the aim, but we wanna do it in style and we wanna win, I wanna win," the 25-year-old said.

"We know what we have to do, we're keeping our heads down, we're keeping focused. But we're here to win every race possible and tomorrow we're gonna have a good chance, at least one of our cars and we'll be giving it everything we've got.

"Really at the back of mind is what we have to do to achieve our big goal, so very happy, the team have done an incredible job, so a big thanks to them - and always a nice qualifying to end the year."

McLaren dominated FP2 and FP3, but faced closer competition in qualifying, something Norris highlighted after getting out his MCL38.

"A perfect day for us," he added. "Probably a little tougher than we were hoping for, we've been very quick all weekend.

"We're pleased with the one-two, but it was just a bit tricker than what we would have liked. My lap, in the end, was strong and just how we wanted to end today."
