George Russell and Kimi Antonelli have been penalised ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix following a post-qualifying investigation.
The two drivers were summoned to see the stewards after the session for an incident that occurred during Q2.
Mercedes sent both of its drivers to the end of the pit lane amid a red flag period, which was deployed following a hefty crash for Esteban Ocon.
The call from the team was made before race control had confirmed the time the session would resume.
Russell ended the qualifying session in second place behind pole-sitter Oscar Piastri, while Antonelli also impressed with his run to fourth place.
However, the pair have now been demoted back one place on the Bahrain GP starting grid.
The penalties have promoted Ferrari's Charles Leclerc to the front row while Alpine's Pierre Gasly has been pushed up to fourth place.
