McLaren has unveiled its latest big-name signing, with its newest venture to be unwrapped in Miami this week.
Earlier this year, the Woking-based organisation announced it would be dipping its toe in the golf world by producing a range of clubs and equipment.
To promote the McLaren Golf brand, McLaren has signed former world number one and US Open winner Justin Rose as an ambassador, and investor.
Rose is a good friend of McLaren CEO Zak Brown, whilst he has also played on several occasions with F1 champion Lando Norris.
Explaining his decision to join forces with McLaren, Rose said: “From the beginning, this has been a passion project.
"I’ve had the opportunity to be involved from the outset, working with the team, testing the clubs and helping shape what they’ve become.
"That level of involvement, combined with the standards McLaren brings to everything they do, made this an easy decision for me.
"I’m excited to put the clubs in play and watch the brand flourish."
Rose will give McLaren Golf its debut, complete with a papaya golf bag [see below], its debut in the Cadillac Championship at the Trump National Doral in Miami from Thursday.
McLaren Golf will officially launch the day before as part of the F1 team's build up towards this weekend's Miami Grand Prix.
