McLaren has announced a new multi-year partnership with TDK, who will become the official technology partner of its Formula E and shadow sim racing teams.
TDK is a world leader in electric solutions and brings together two brands based around technological innovation and pushing for sustainable change.
The two companies will work together to promote TDK's presence and commitment to EV technology and gaming, as well as its development of passives, sensors, charging and battery technologies.
TDK branding will feature on the two Nissan e-4ORCE 05 cars which McLaren will run in FE this season, as well as at the British manufacturers Woking base.
Some technical components developed by TDK do feature on the team's new car, which will feature next week in pre-season testing at Valencia.
“TDK and McLaren Racing are two brands always looking to push boundaries with innovation in technology," said McLaren CEO, Zak Brown.
"We are delighted that this partnership will help further accelerate both our journeys by sharing insights and learnings from both the motorsport and automotive worlds.
"We look forward to going racing together in both the upcoming Formula E season as well as with our F1 Sim Racing Team.”
