Max Verstappen has been placed under investigation following a bizarre incident during second practice, ahead of this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Dutchman was spotted throwing a small towel outside his cockpit on the inside of Turn 3, with him to visit the stewards after the session.
Verstappen pulled to the inside of the corner exit and slowed down considerably, before lifting up and throwing what appeared to be a small towel of some sort.
It was not captured where the small towel landed, with him to be investigated for throwing something outside of the cockpit.
At the time of the incident, the four-time world champion found himself 14th on the timesheets and 1.1 seconds adrift of Lando Norris.
