Oscar Piastri will be looking to strike a further dagger into the heart of Lando Norris's F1 title hopes as the season continues with the Italian Grand Prix.
Piastri now find himself in a commanding position in the world championship race after winning the Dutch Grand Prix last time out, combined with Norris retiring late on with a broken engine oil line.
The result of that was Piastri's points lead ballooning from nine to 34 to ensure he will be leading the championship as F1 leaves Europe for the flyaways to end the season, but can he take an eighth win of the season this weekend?
But to do so, Piastri will have to overcome sitting out FP1, as he fulfils the first of two sessions he must hand over to a rookie driver this season, with McLaren's F2 protege Alex Dunne once again deputising for a race driver, as he did for Norris in Austria.
And what of Lewis Hamilton, on his first weekend as a Ferrari driver at Monza? Can he and the Scuderia finally claim that first podium, and overcome his five-place grid penalty?
We will get our first clues with 60 minutes of Free Practice 1 at the Autodromo!
