Lando Norris will start the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix from pole position, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton lurking behind.
Between them, Verstappen and Hamilton have won every Spanish GP since 2016, with McLaren not tasting victory in Barcelona since Kimi Raikkonen's 2005 success - on the day Oliver Bearman was born in May 2005!
Norris bagged a second career pole position by just 0.020s on a weekend the top four teams have been looking close throughout practice.
The run down to Turn 1 is 594 metres, one of the longest of the season, with Verstappen doing well from P2 in 2021 to divebomb pole-sitter Hamilton into Turn 1 to grab the lead, although the Mercedes won.
Will Norris be able to convert his second career F1 pole into a second grand prix win? 66 laps of the 2.894 mile track will tell us.
