McLaren enter qualifying as the favourites to secure pole position for the Qatar Grand Prix, following a one-two in the sprint race.
Oscar Piastri was given the victory in the closing metres by Lando Norris, who had led the entire 19-lap race.
The Woking-based team has had an edge at the Lusail International Circuit, although Mercedes and Ferrari's one-lap pace is promising.
