Charles Leclerc set the pace in the opening session of the 2024 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, whilst Max Verstappen and Red Bull encountered issues.
The three-time world champion was very unhappy with the performance of his RB20 during first practice and will be keen to find the sweet spot during FP2.
Verstappen was fifth in FP1 and a position behind Sergio Perez, who was fined after the session for speeding in the pit-lane.
Ferrari was the team to beat, as Carlos Sainz set the third fastest time, with George Russell finding himself in a red sandwich.
