Liam Lawson will swap his F1 car for a guitar next week when he headlines Racing Bulls' latest Garage Sessions in Austin.
To mark the occasion, Lawson will unveil a custom guitar, the LL30 GS Mini Special Edition Taylor, which has been described as featuring 'a pink-to-white burst design across the top of the body, complemented by pink dot bridge pins'.
In addition, Lawson's race number 30 is on the pickguard, whilst his cartoon helmet logo, familiar to anyone who has spotted his lid on the grid, has been engraved onto the truss rod cover.
The New Zealander will not be performing alone, either. He will be joined on stage by his brother and two childhood friends.
Speaking about the launch and the gig, Lawson said he felt "very proud" to be teaming up with Taylor Guitars for his Garage Sessions debut.
"Playing the guitar has been a big part of my life since I was young, as my dad played in a band throughout my childhood," he said.
"He encouraged my brother and I to play since we were six years old, so it feels like a full circle moment to be launching a custom guitar while performing with my brother and two friends who I grew up playing with.
"Music is a big part of my life, and I use it to clear my head during the season, so I'm really excited to perform at Garage Sessions where we can connect with fans outside of the track.
"I'm looking forward to meeting everyone there."
The event starts at 3 pm on Thursday at the Esses Bazaar at Inn Cahoots on Austin's East 6th Street. Fans can expect food, live music, a tattoo artist, western wear, glam stations, and a chance to pose for a photo next to the team's show car, before Garage Sessions takes over at 7 pm.
