Liam Lawson has highlighted how the impending rule change, aimed at front wing flexibility, will make the Spanish Grand Prix a more "interesting" proposition.
The Racing Bulls driver heads into the round at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya straight off the back of his first points-scoring weekend of the F1 season.
It has been a difficult campaign thus far for the New Zealander, who was demoted from Red Bull after just two rounds amid a poor start to the year - and to life at the Milton Keynes squad.
That saw him swapped with Yuki Tsunoda, and he initially struggled to match the performances of Isack Hadjar in the other VCARB 02.
However, the Monaco Grand Prix could serve as somewhat of a breakthrough weekend for Lawson, who came home in eighth position, his best result 19 rounds into his F1 career.
As a result, he is "bouncing" directly into the final stop of the current triple header, where he anticipates the more stringent regulations surrounding flexi-wings will add an element of intrigue to the proceedings at a circuit well-known to the championship.
“It feels good to be rounding out the triple header in Barcelona," the 23-year-old said.
"It’s a track we’ve tested a lot over the years, so feels very familiar to all the teams and drivers.
"Normally it’s quite a close race, but with some changes in the regulations to adapt to, we’re set for an interesting weekend.
"We’re bouncing off a great weekend in Monaco for the team, so are ready to set our sights on scoring points again in Barcelona."
