Lewis Hamilton will face an investigation from F1 stewards after Monaco Grand Prix qualifying for impeding Max Verstappen.

With the Red Bull on a flying lap, Hamilton was on a slow-down lap at Massanet, with the Red Bull forced to abort his lap to avoid a collision.

UPDATE: Lewis Hamilton hit with grid penalty after Max Verstappen investigation

Hamilton's engineer Riccardo Adami had told Hamilton that Verstappen was "three seconds behind" and on a slow lap, but this was a mistake.

Verstappen reported it was "massive impeding" as both drivers safely made it through to Q2.

Another investigation is taking place into Lance Stroll impeding Pierre Gasly for an incident the Alpine driver called "shocking" at the exit of the tunnel.
