Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Antonelli are all set to start the Belgian Grand Prix from the pit-lane, following several engine component changes.
All the changes took place after parc fermé, resulting in a breach of Article 40.9b of the F1 sporting regulations.
Hamilton has been fitted with an entirely new engine at Spa-Francorchamps with a rear suspension change having also been made.
Hamilton's new internal combustion engine (ICE), turbocharger (TC), motor generator unit-heat (MGU-H), motor generator unit-kinetic (MGU-K), energy store (ES) and control electronics (CS) are all outside his legal pool, breaching Article 28.2 of the sporting regulations.
The seven-time world champion's new exhaust is the seventh of eight in his pool. As for Antonelli and Alonso, both drivers have received a new ICE, TC, MGU-H and MGU-K outside their pools.
Hamilton, Alonso and Antonelli had qualified in 16th, 18th and 19th, respectively, but can also now switch to a wet setup for the grand prix.
